Dee began painting in 1986, but it wasn’t until she retired from teaching in 2000 that she could actively pursue her art.  She has worked in oils, water colors, acrylics, but is primarily a pastelist.   Dee has studied with Sue Kaminski, Nancy Barch, Donna Cusano, Sarah Yeoman and others.  She is an active member of Delaware Valley Art League and a Signature member of Philadelphia Water Color Society.  She has served as president of DVAL and treasurer for PWCS.  Her work can be seen at  DeeCasner.com
